Kay Johnson

Kay Johnson was the superintendent, principal, and a teacher at Flower Mound Elementary for 30 years... all at the same time. She holds degrees in music, art, and Elementary Administration with a concentration in Curriculum, and has many hours of post-graduate work in Curriculum from the University of Oklahoma. She is certified in K-8 education with endorsements in music, art, language arts, and social sciences.  Kay also holds an Oklahoma Principal's Certificate and an Oklahoma Superintendent's Certificate.  She is currently the founder, CEO, and superintendent of Lawton Academy of Arts and Sciences, teaching various elementary subjects.

Michelle Smith

Michelle Smith has a degree in Elementary Education with a special endorsement in music, and she holds an Oklahoma teaching certificate. She has taught school in Oklahoma, California, and Texas, both private and public, for the last twenty-five years.  Michelle is currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer of Lawton Academy of Arts & Sciences, and she teaches 6th - 12th English and literature classes, as well as music and drama to PK3 - 12th grade students.  Her duties at the school also include choir, robotics, chess, student activities, honor society, speech, MathCounts, and summer camps.

Bria Smith

Bria Smith graduated from Lawton Academy of Arts & Sciences as valedictorian of her class, president of student council, president of honor society, president of class officers, and CEO of the robotics team. She just earned a BA in Public Relations at DePaul University, and is now pursuing a Master's degree in Public Relations.  Bria worked with a tech start-up as their Executive Director for nine months and has worked for Americorp for three years.  She has a passion for non-profits and a drive to change the world.
